What is a Precinct Chair?
According to the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP), this position represents the voting precinct in which they live and serve the HCDP Executive Committee. They must live in the precinct they serve, push voter participation, and support Democrat candidates. Chairs get priority in serving as an Election Judge for their polling locations in the Primary Elections. These positions are elected every two years and if the seat is vacant the the HCDP appoints someone to the position.
There are 6+ Chair Positions for La Porte Residents depending on where you live and nearly half of these seats are empty
Are the Democrats of La Porte a non-profit?
