Looking for something fun to do locally on a Friday night out with friends or as a long overdue date night—that will help support progressive political action in your local community? PERFECT! Come join your neighbors at a Trivia & Game Night on Friday, May 22 from 6 – 8pm and help the Democrats of La Porte, TX raise funds for our club activities. The money raised goes to supporting programs and things like:
- Outreach: This means covering tabling fees, flyers, website hosting, and supplies for buttons, etc.
- Organizing: This includes covering rental fees, supplies for meetings, literature for protests.
- Community Support: This year we are hosting a community picnic & school supply drive—this cost money to host. Also, we intend to expand our Holiday Gift (Adopt A Neighbor) program for kids that would otherwise have a less than happy holiday. We helped 10 families last year and we want to double that at least in 2026.
We need to raise funds for these efforts plus other important club activities and ideas brewing that have been put on the back burner due in part due to funding. While this event is intended for young adults (13+ with guardian) and adults, younger children are welcome to join with parents. Please note the game selection and trivia questions were curated for an older audience.
Compete in Trivia
Is just playing games not enough of a thrill? Do you need stakes and something to compete for beyond the bragging rights? Test your general knowledge at one of two rounds of custom Jeopardy!. You can come as a solo or with others. We will help people build teams with attendees.
Round 1 will begin at approximately 6:30 and Round 2 will begin at 7:15.
Tickets & Sponsorship Levels
The cost for this event is $15 per person, but we welcome donations to make sure this is a fundraiser and not just breaking even. Tickets will get you into the door with access to food, games, and the ability to compete prizes in one of our two rounds of Jeopardy!-style trivia. After purchasing a ticket please RSVP.
